Vitalograph Bacterial Viral FiltersTM (BVF) provide an efficient hygiene solution giving better than 99.999% cross-contamination efficiency, protecting the patient, operator and equipment from cross infection and contamination during pulmonary function testing.
Suitable for inspiratory and expiratory spirometry testing, these single-use bacterial viral filters provide effective protection from cross infection. Vitalograph BVFs feature an electrostatically charged barrier that filters droplets, aerosols, bacteria and viruses out of the airstream. When a new BVF is used for every patient, the interior of the device is protected, meaning that only exterior surface cleaning should be required. Improved hygiene can lead to lower running costs.
A wide range of BVFs are available to fit all leading makes of spirometers and PFT equipment. These may be purchased as standalone filters or in a kit with BVF, bite-on mouthpiece and noseclip options.

The patented dual color sliders on the asmaPLAN+™ define the management color zones set by the healthcare professional for the asthmatic to follow.
100% is the asthmatic’s best. The yellow zone will typically be set to start at 80% of the asthmatic’s best while the red zone will typically start at 60%. Variability of PEFR of greater than 20% should alert the asthmatic to a possible asthma attack.

SafeTway Mouthpieces
SafeTway Mouthpieces are disposable mouthpieces with One Way Valve that allows entry of expired air into the measuring system but not back to the test subject. This simple yet effective patented design prevents concerns of accidental inhalation of pathogens. These low cost and low resistance mouthpieces that helps to prevent cross-infection and can be used with most peak flow meters and spirometers.
It has a 30mm diameter at both ends. It fits most pulmonary function test equipment, including peak flow meters. An adaptor may be required for some models not accepting 30mm diameter mouthpiece.
